Diana Lambert founded Seventh Street in 2013. Diana has her Bachelors from New York University, where she majored in Music Education and Percussion. She also has a Masters in Special Education. Diana spent the majority of her time at NYU student teaching at Friends Seminary and William Cullen Bryant High School. She is very comfortable with students of all ages and has led everything from elementary level music classes to large high school ensemble rehearsals. For six years, Diana was the music teacher at Simon Baruch Middle School, located in Manhattan. Following her teaching in NYC, Diana taught at The Knox School. At The Knox School, Diana worked with ENL children, Special Needs children and children who needed executive functioning assistance. After her time at The Knox School, Diana has devoted herself fully to Seventh Street, which allows her to ensure each student is getting the best service possible. Over the last several years, Diana has observed, assisted and taught in several schools in very different areas which has allowed her to accumulate a diverse variety of ideas and activities to reach each child she works with. Diana believes that by communicating and collaborating positively, students will be set up for nothing less than natural success.
Sharing my Passion
The one thing that Diana loves more than music and education is sharing this love with students of all ages and passing the passion on to them. Throughout her entire educational experience thus far, one concept has always stood out in her mind: all people are very different and each of us have a unique strength to bring to the table. By creating a healthy, comfortable and creative environment, all of these strengths are able to be crafted together, which is where the most beautiful outcomes can be formed.
About our Teachers
Diana has personally selected a group of teachers who all have specialized degrees in education. Each of these teachers are trained educators and have a natural gift on within their field. Most importantly, our instructors have a very strong passion for education and an even stronger enthusiasm for teaching. Seventh Street is a very rare, convenient and inspiring service to the community of New York City and Long Island. Why? Because trained educators and professional musicians will gladly come give you private instruction right in the comfort of your home!
